Death Takes a Holiday: In this romantic musical, the character of Death appears, handsomely disguised, in the mortal world to determine why people fear him. He unexpectedly finds the answer through the love of a young Italian woman on the brink of a new life. This Chicago premiere is based on the Frederick March film of the same name, with Brad Pitt taking the role of Death in the loosely based remake, Meet Joe Black. Directing this love story (written by a trio of musical theatre greats) will be Elizabeth Margolius.
