When an ex-professional rugby player makes an ill-conceived bet with his rival, he has a short five weeks to persuade, cajole, and bully a bunch of deadbeat pub regulars into becoming the team to beat the feared Amateur Rugby League champions.  Part “Bend It Like Beckham” and part “The Full Monty”, Up N’ Under is a hilarious exploration of male locker room bravado and braggadocio.  Circle Theatre is proud to present the Chicago Premiere of this riotous British comedy.

What the critics said:

"Overall, Up ‘n’ Under was an absolute treat to attend. It’ll have you laughing, cheering, and craving a beer. Cheers, lads! Brilliant!" - Alana Grelyak, luminomagazine.com

"this show is a hilarious experience. It's inventively written, tightly directed by Rob Chambers, and the acting could not be stronger.... The talented cast members each create memorable, endearing characters." - Doug Deuchler, Wednesday Journal

"with Chambers's breakneck style, which embraces Godber's cinematic, '80s sitcom–ish leanings, the whole thing comes off as more charming than cliché" - Tim Lowery, Time Out Chicago

"a clever coup de theatre in which the same small cast plays both Our Heroes and their opponents." - Jonathan Abarbanel, Windy City Times
